About HandyNurse, LLC
HandyNurse, LLC was started in early 2022 by John Lao, LPN3, VWCN. John has been a licensed practical nurse for over 20 years. He is a wound certified nurse via VOHRA Wound Care Specialists, and holds a certification as a Red Cross Instructor for CPR/First Aid/AED training. John is also a former member of the AAPACN and held his Resident Assessment Coordinator certification (RAC-CT) for over 10 years.
John has over 25 years of healthcare experience and specializes in geriatric care. He began his medical career as a Hospitalman and Pharmacy Technician in the United States Navy, and then as a Nursing Assistant at the VA Hospital. His expertise includes Assisted Living and Nursing Home Management, Medicare Billing and Regulations, Quality Assurance, Skilled Rehab, Long Term Care, Electronic Medical Records, Nursing Education, CPR/First Aid Training, Employee Health, and Wound Care.
John created HandyNurse, LLC to ensure that quality assistance was being provided to the elderly population. He is serious about the care he provides and of those who represent the HandyNurse® brand. We don't stop at personal care assistance either, and can also help you with many types of home maintenance tasks as well.
